The plan to upgrade and improve the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport is on course. This is according to the Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Roads and Transport, Davis Chirchir, who told Citizen TV that the government intends to break ground before the end of the calendar year. The announcement came just about a year after the government was forced to terminate the JKIA expansion contract with Indian based Adani Group over controversial clauses, and the contract, which was shrouded in secrecy.
