Government considers policy to strengthen compliance with development plans

The government, through the national treasury’s state department for economic planning, has embarked on a policy formulation to craft an economic planning policy that will include enforcement measures for ministries and state agencies that are failing to implement development plans, such as Vision 2030 and the medium-term plan four. The government is confident the move will rein in stalled projects and restore discipline in public spending.
