Government establishes command centre for relief food distribution at NCPB

The government has established a command center at the national cereals and produce board to manage the distribution of relief food supplies. Principal secretary at the state department of social protection Nelson Marwa says the number of counties affected have increased to 32 calling for cooperation from stakeholders to mitigate the impact of the biting drought. This comes two weeks after President William Ruto flagged off relief food supplies to drought-stricken counties.
