Government to launch 42,000 housing units

The government has announced a pipeline of forty two thousand housing units whose construction will begin early next year. This was disclosed at the Kenya Affordable Housing Conference 2022 in Nairobi, which brought together all relevant stakeholders in the housing sector, including financial institutions and developers. The new units will be spread across the counties of Nairobi, Kiambu and Machakos. The government says it has already availed all enabling facilities such as water and electricity for the project.
