The Ministry of Environment, Climate Change, and Forestry has deployed artificial intelligence–enabled sensors to monitor air, noise, and water pollution in real time. Launched through the national environment management authority, the system will help authorities track emissions from factories, power plants, and other industrial activities, key contributors to rising respiratory illnesses, especially in urban areas. Environment cabinet secretary Dr. Debora Barasa says the technology will strengthen pollution monitoring and enforcement.
