The government has secured 16.5 billion shillings to strengthen climate resilience, improve food security, and protect natural resources in rural areas. The funding from the International Fund for Agricultural Development, IFAD, will support a new 10-county programme targeting environmental restoration and income generation for smallholder communities, at a time when climate change continues to threaten livelihoods across the country.
