Siaya governor James Orengo has dismissed the proposal by Public Service Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria, to transfer all public service employees from permanent and pensionable terms to short-term contracts. Speaking in Ramula, East Gem, Siaya county, during a church event, governor Orengo said the proposal will be strongly opposed by the Governor of governors, on the basis that it will deny workers their basic right to job security.
