The Public Benefits Organizations Regulatory Authority (PBORA) has announced the de-registration of 2,802 NGOs for violating the terms of their certificates. The cancellations are set to take effect after 15 days. The authority says some of the organizations have been in default for up to 29 years. As our reporter, Ode Francis reports, the regulatory authority says the move is aimed weeding out organizations being used for money laundering and terrorism activities.
