The Ministry of Health has attributed the life-threatening disease outbreak in Kisii County to water contamination. Speaking during a visit to the County on Tuesday, Public Health Principal Secretary Mary Muthoni revealed that tests conducted in the area have confirmed the presence of faecal matter in a community borehole which has been in use for a while. The disease has left more than 100 people sick with those affected exhibiting symptoms which include high fever, diarrhoea, and dizziness.
