The government and private sector are working to implement new business reforms that will propel Kenya into the top 50 of three key global business rankings. The rankings include the World Bank's Ease of Doing Business, the World Economic Forum's Global Competitiveness Index, and Transparency International's Bribery Index. Ahead of the 2021-2022 reform cycle, the two parties met in Naivasha to establish a framework on Kenya's legislative and regulatory reforms plan this fiscal year. The government is meanwhile wooing investors to special economic zones with a raft of measures such as cheap electricity tarrifs.
