Govt unveils tough new rules for boda boda riders

All boda boda riders will soon be required to register afresh and provide details of their designated areas of operation as part of new measures to curb growing security threats in the country. In a meeting between the police command in Nairobi and the Boda Boda Safety Association, all riders will be required to also wear distinct uniforms based on their location, while each Boda Boda stage must now have a leader who will be held accountable and even arrested should criminal incidents involving Boda Boda riders occur under their watch.
