Govt warns Gachagua against unsanctioned rallies ahead of return

The government has warned democracy for the citizens’ party leader, Rigathi Gachagua, against holding an unsanctioned “meet the people” tour upon his return from the United States, where he has been engaged in meetings for the past six weeks. Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen and Inspector General of police douglas kanja have stated that any attempt to disrupt peace will not be tolerated. DCP deputy party leader Cleophas Malala claims there are plans to use goons to sabotage their procession and has called on the police to ensure their security.
