    Impunity within security agencies, gender-based violence, health-workers strike and economic hardships are some of the human rights issues Kenyans are grappling with according to a report by Amnesty International. Amnesty International Kenya Executive Director Irungu Houghton says addressing impunity, protecting fundamental rights and ensuring accountability for perpetrators are essential steps towards creating a more just and equitable society in Kenya. In its annual State of the World ‘s Human Rights report of 115 countries the organization also highlighted the conflicts going on in Gaza, Ukraine, Sudan, Ethiopia and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
