Beach management units and fishermen across the coastal strip have filed a petition at the Mombasa law court to be enjoined in a court case against the government's construction of the 39 billion shillings Dongo Kundu Special Economic Zone. The beach management unit officials under the lobby known as Coast Fishermen Board which consists of 5,000 members noted that they are worried about the government's move which will adversely affect fishermen who carry out their activities in the Indian Ocean.
