The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission-IEBC has indefinitely postponed gubernatorial elections in Mombasa and Kakamega counties. The commission is citing intimidation and profiling of its staff as contributing to the postponement of the elections which also affects four constituencies that did not hold National Assembly elections. In a statement the commission has also dismissed claims by four dissenting IEBC Commissioners that the presidential tally released by Wafula Chubakati went beyond the 100 percent mark.
