    Kenya can only afford to take 4500 pilgrims for the 2024 Muslim hajj pilgrimage in mecca despite the Kenyan quota being increased to 10,000 persons up from 6,000 persons last year. This is according to supreme council of Kenya Muslims SUPKEM that says the harsh economic times have affected the ability of potential pilgrims to finance their hajj requirements __
