Health Cabinet Aden Duale has announced the scrapping of attachment fees for Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) students in public hospitals, with a particular focus on level 6 medical facilities. Speaking at the official opening of the 8th biennial KMTC scientific conference at the institution’s headquarters in Nairobi, Duale said public hospitals should not charge students, as they are there to support, not burden them in their training. Duale also called for rigorous curriculum review, strict admission criteria and monitored clinical rotation in all education health institutions to maintain quality
