Health workers from six counties will down their tools Wednesday, to protest the delayed payment of salaries for the months of February and March in some of the selected counties. In a press briefing issued today, workers drawn from various unions castigated some devolved units for deliberately frustrating healthcare workers by failing to pay salaries and remit their statutory deductions on time. This comes even as President William Ruto recommended the formation of a human resource advisory council to look in to matters bedeviling the country’s health sector.
