    Health workers’ unions and societies have come out with their guns blazing over what they termed as inadequate budgetary allocation to health sector. They said the121.1 billion shillings allocated to the sector is very little at a time the country is grappling with the COVID-19 pandemic. They noted that the allocation which represented 3.4 percent of the total budget, was a reduction from the previous year’s equivalent of 9.2 percent. Elsewhere, Migori County has intensified compliance with COVID-19 prevention protocols in the wake of four Indian variants being detected in the county.
