Several acres of maize plantation was destroyed by elephants in Kisanana, Baringo county. Angry farmers lamented that for three weeks now, a herd of about 20 elephants have invaded the area trampling their crops and endangering their lives. 57-year-old granny Ann Kuikui said her attempts to chase the elephants from her fice hectares of maize farm by beating drums and lighting bright torches proved futile. The jumbos the invaded a neighbouring farm and destroyed bananas, mangoes and sweet potatoes.
