Hundreds of motorists and passengers were forced to spend Friday night along the Gilgil weighbridge section of the Nairobi–Nakuru highway after a heavy traffic snarl-up that began in the afternoon and persisted into Saturday morning following a road accident. The traffic jam remains. Queues of private cars, matatus, and heavy trucks have stretched for kilometres as traffic continues to stall between Gilgil and the Mbaruk area
