Supreme Court Judge Justice Isaac Lenaola has voiced concern over alleged efforts by certain individuals within the legal fraternity to undermine judicial independence. Speaking at the launch of the International Commission of Jurists (ICJ) Kenya Strategic Plan 2025–2030, Justice Lenaola called for unwavering integrity in the judiciary to safeguard justice, equity, and human dignity.
ICJ Kenya Council Chairperson Protas Saende echoed these sentiments, stressing the need to strengthen the judiciary’s effectiveness and independence. He emphasized that empowering judicial officers is key to ensuring justice is both served and seen to be upheld.
