A section of post election violence victims have called on president William Ruto to include them in the compensation programme for victims of public protests.
The western-nyanza region IDPS caucus, has cautioned that to compensating victims of the protests and leaving out victims of post election violence will be discrimination against them. The caucus's director, Erick Oyugi has recommended the compensation beneficiaries to start from 2007 to date for fairness across the board to be done. He has suggested that the IDPS representatives be enlisted in the Prof.Makau Mutua committee to advance the interests of their members whom he claims have been forgotten for close to 19 years.
