The Nyanza and Western Caucus of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) from the 2007/2008 post-election violence has petitioned President William Ruto to expedite their compensation to end years of frustration and suffering. Speaking at a meeting the Caucus's director, Erick Oyugi, urged President Ruto to ensure the timely release of the 3.7 billion shillings allocated in this year’s budget to support the 84,500 IDPs under the Caucus's care.
