IEBC gives politicians and aspirants a deadline to engage in public fundraisings

    The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, IEBC, has given politicians and aspirants a deadline of until tomorrow to engage in participating in public fundraising or harambees saying afterwards it will be an act of election offence. According to IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati, election laws prohibit such acts preceding the general election or during the elections saying this would amount to influencing voters. moreover, IEBC is expected to roll out another mass registration exercise come January next year
