The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission says no Kenyan eligible to vote will be barred from exercising their civic duty on 9th August. While defending the use of the biometric system as the most efficient mode, IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati said the manual verification of voters would only be used as a last resort. Chebukati said that procurement of election material is complete save for ballot papers, which will be procured by30th June upon the conclusion of the dispute resolution process.
