IEBC seeks KSh 888 million for 2027 election preparations

The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission is seeking an additional Sh888 million to, among other things, buy new cars for commissioners, refurbish the IEBC offices, and conduct enhanced mass voter registration at the end of this month. As Emmanuel too now reports, members of the justice and legal affairs committee have raised a red flag over the commissions’ priorities, which also includes the construction of a sh3.5b uchaguzi center.
