Insurance premiums hit Ksh.144bn in Q2, 2021

    A report by the insurance regulatory authority on the second-quarter industry statistics indicates that insurance premiums went up by 19 percent hit the Ksh.144.02 billion mark compared to the sh121.04 billion realized a year before. The data by the regulator indicates that general insurance was still the largest contributor to industry insurance premiums taking 59.3 percent of the total premiums at sh85.36 billion with long-term insurance premiums coming reaching sh58.66 billion in the period under review.
