Interior Cabinet Secretary Prof. Kithure Kindiki has read the riot act to striking doctors warning them the government will take action on those keen on violating the law by engaging in an unlawful strike. In a statement, Kindiki warned gatherings or protests outside the law are not permissible cautioning those on strike against threatening to disrupt service delivery or interfere with non-participating medics. The warning comes as Kenyatta University Teaching, Referral and Research Hospital announced it has hired five doctors from Ethiopia, Tanzania and Malawi to work in the Cancer Centre as the effects of the doctors’ strike begin to be felt.
