Today, more than half the pupils at New Kihumbuini Primary School in Kangemi did not attend school. This is a day after 51 of them were rushed to hospital following teargassing of the school by police officers during Wednesday’s demonstrations. The students were in class when the tear gas canisters reached them. Visibly angry parents and guardians rushed to the school to rescue their children.
