Joseph Boakai: "Riding a private jet is sometimes necessary"- BBC Africa
Liberia’s President Joseph Boakai has defended his use of private jets for foreign trips, saying ‘sometimes it’s necessary’, and says it is not an abuse of public money.
Mr Boakai came to power in 2024 on a pledge to tackle financial mismanagement and corruption, which he claimed the previous leader George Weah failed to do. President Boakai was speaking to BBC Newsday’s Victoria Uwonkunda.
