Julius Rakwesi arraigned over the death of a 10-year-old boy

    Julius Rakwesi, the prime suspect in the murder of a 10-year-old grade four pupil, will remain in custody for two weeks to allow for mental examination as ordered in Narok`s court. The murder occured last sunday at Majengo SDA primary and secondary school in narok. Arraigned in Narok, Rakwesi represented himself and was not required to present a defence, but to await the court’s direction after the charges were read to him. Other suspects, including the head teacher and the school matron, are expected to be arraigned after the 14-day period to answer charges related to the boy’s death. The school has been closed following an order by Apollo Apuko, the Narok county director of education,and local elders.
