Hours after the four IEBC commissioners were suspended by president William Ruto, one of them Justus Nyang'aya resigned from the polls body. In a letter to the president, he stated that his move comes after weeks of soul searching and prayer in pursuit of wisdom to come up with a decision that is in the best interest of the country. Nyang'aya expressed gratitude for his time in the commission which allowed him to serve the country.
