Kalonzo Accuses Govt of Distributing Unsafe Goods in Public Events

United Opposition leader Kalonzo Musyoka has accused the Kenya Kwanza government of handing out unsafe, contraband goods during empowerment programmes, endangering lives. Speaking after receiving a certificate for his party’s name change from Wiper Democratic Movement to Wiper Patriotic Front, Kalonzo claimed the government is using cheap handouts—some as low as Sh64—to bribe voters ahead of the 2027 elections.
