The Kenya Human Rights Commission (KHRC) has accused President William Ruto’s administration of undermining the spirit and letter of the 2010 Constitution, even as the country marked its 15th anniversary since the constitution was promulgated. In a strongly worded statement released on Wednesday, KHRC said repeated violations of fundamental rights and democratic safeguards have eroded the Constitution’s transformative promise.
