The recent strike by the Kenya airport workers cost the national carrier Kenya Airways losses of about 80 million shillings in terms of time, re-booking and compensation. This was revealed by the airline’s CEO Allan Kilavuka during the opening of the Asanti Executive Hub at the Kenyatta International Convention Center, KICC. The hub will cater to the travel needs of government officials and other elites as it seeks to double its share of government travel revenue from the current 40 percent.
