Kenya and Somalia agree to ease border tensions

    Kenya and Somalia have agreed to strengthen consular cooperation and ease cross-border movement to reduce diplomatic tensions that emerged after Kenya barred some Somalia officials, including a minister, from entering the country. The move prompted Somalia's federal government to summon its ambassador to Kenya on Monday. On Tuesday, Somalia's Foreign Minister, Abdisaalan Abdi Ali, held talks with Kenya's Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi in Ethiopia seeking a solution. Willy Lusige reports.
