A new contingent of Kenyan police officers arrived in Haiti on Thursday to join over six hundred police officers already deployed by Kenya to lead a United Nations-backed security mission in the Caribbean country. Interior cabinet secretary Kipchumba Murkomen saw off the hundred and forty police officers which marked the third contingent of security personnel to leave the country for Haiti. The deployment comes amid reassurance by President William Ruto that the United States has not halted support for the mission despite Washington's far-reaching broader pause on federal aid.
