Through the ongoing Bioeconomy Initiative, researchers, government, and industry are turning 60% of daily bio-waste into wealth using bio-fertilizers, insect-based animal feed, and biotechnology. With 70% of the population under 35, this effort taps Kenya’s young innovators to strengthen key sectors, supported by academia and the EU.
