The stage is set for the 2026 World Rafting Series at River Sagana in Murang'a County, with Kenya hosting the prestigious event for the first time.
A total of 19 countries are competing for top honours in the championship.
Wednesday's opening ceremony, attended by World Rafting Federation President Danilo Barmaz and Sports Principal Secretary Elijah Mwangi, officially marked the start of the competition.
Team Kenya heads into the tournament full of confidence and is aiming to impress against some of the world's top rafting nations.
