The government has procured a total of 6.2 million doses of Polio and BCG vaccines to address the shortage in parts of the Country. Medical Services Principal Secretary Dr. Ouma Oluga has said 3.2 million doses of Polio vaccines are already in the country and are undergoing clearance at the Port of Mombasa, while the BCG vaccines are expected in the country early next week.
