Kenya Re bosses oppose petition seeking their removal

Kenya Reinsurance Corporation bosses Dr. Hillary Wachinga, the Group Managing Director, and Ruth Ngugi, the General Manager of Finance and Credit Control, have objected to claims of intimidation, micromanagement, financial impropriety and name-dropping cited in a petition seeking their ouster from the helm of the state insurer. In court documents in our possession, the two, through their lawyer Peter Wanyama, argue that the petitioner did not exhaust the remedies available under the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act by lodging a complaint with the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority before filing the case in court.
