Kenya records 234 new COVID-19 cases from 3,737 tested in the last 24 hours

    The country on Sunday recorded 234 new COVID-19 cases from 3,737 tested in the last 24 hours increasing the positivity rate to 6.3%. The total infections now stand at 246,530. From the cases 231 are Kenyans while 3 are foreigners. So far 4,989 patients have succumbed to the disease after 9 more patients lost the fight . According to the Ministry of Health the new deaths are late reports from facility record audits in September this year. Between Saturday and Sunday, 492 patients were given a clean bill of health after making full recovery and now the number of recoveries stands at 237,295. Globally, over 219 million people have been infected with the disease while more than 4.55 million others have died..
