Kenyan swimmer Maria Brunlehner has finally arrived in Miramas, France and went straight to training ahead of her Olympic Games debut. Maria who is a student at the Grand Canyon University in Arizona, United States will be the only female swimmer from Kenya and is set to fight for a medal in the 50 metres free style competition. Her Kenyan counterpart Ridhwan Abubakar will not train in Miramas but will go straight to Paris after the ongoing millfield long course meet in Sunderland, United Kingdom, the last competition of the season ahead of the summer Olympic Games in Paris. The rugby team, volleyball and sprinters are the other athletes training in Miramas.
