Several cabinet secretaries, senior government officials and officers of various government agencies took part in the tree planting exercise across the country Friday in continuing efforts to ensure the government’s target to achieve a 30% tree cover by the year 2032.The tree planting exercise on degraded landscapes and ecosystems was also conducted in honor of the over 200 Kenyans who lost their lives as a result of floods in the country.
