Kenyans joined the rest of the world in celebrations to mark the hypertension day in Machakos County. Various activists converged at the Machakos stadium in honour of this particular day. A project to deal with non-communicable diseases was launched. Residents from around the county came out in their numbers to partake the celebrations, where a free test for hypertension was carried out by various medical experts. The county government of Machakos was asked by the activists to implement various guidelines to ensure that hypertension patients do not encounter hardship while seeking medical attention.
