Kenyans speak out against higher taxation

The proposed finance bill 2023 continues to face opposition from various stakeholders in the country. The Kenya Union of Post-Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET), non-governmental organizations, civil society groups, and the national council of churches of Kenya, are asking president william ruto to intervene. They further urge members of parliament to protect the electorate by amending clauses that will lead to an increase in the cost of living
