The Kenyatta University community gathered for a solemn ceremony to honour the memories of the 11 students who tragically perished in the Maungu road accident last month. The theme of the service “unshaken confidence” portraying the resilience of the university community amidst grief following the tragic accident. 11 students lost their lives while 18 others survived. One student continues to fight for their life in the intensive care unit. The spouse to the Deputy President Dorcas Rigathi who attended the service, expressed concern over the alarming number of fatalities from road accidents and called on drivers to exercise caution on the roads.
