Kenya Forest Service has assured Kenyans that the Karura forest boundary is intact. Chief conservator of forests Alex Lemarkoko, who spoke Thursday during a familiarization tour of the forest said strong instruments including electric fencing and strict surveillance, have been put in place to ensure the boundary integrity of the forest that was proclaimed in 1932 remains intact. Noting a shift in the natural river boundary, the CCF said the service will seek legal redress in the corridors of justice.
