Kilifi born boxer David Kashindo aka Davy King has challenged Tanzania’s Karim ‘Mtu Kazi’ Mandonga for a match to reclaim the Kenyan glory.
Kashindo said that Mandonga’s match with Daniel Wanyonyi last month was a huge joke to the Kenyan Boxing Federation accusing it of not tapping into young talent.
He alleged that Wanyonyi is a lazy boxer with several years of not training and should not have been allowed to participate in that match since he embarrassed the country.
“The guy was out of training for a very long time and it was an embarrassment. You are giving promotions to Tanzanians instead of promoting your own. The Kenya Boxing Federation should promote local sports to international level,” he said.
